Islamic banking is a distinct discipline, not a product overlay. Structure, governance, accounting treatment and systems all differ, and each has to satisfy both a Shariah board and a prudential regulator.
Where we work
We work with retail and commercial banks adding Shariah-compliant propositions — home finance, deposits, business banking — and with institutions built Islamic from the start.
- Standing up Islamic banks and Islamic windows within conventional institutions
- Product structuring — Murabaha, Ijara, Musharaka, Wakala and Sukuk
- Shariah governance frameworks and board arrangements
- Core system configuration for Shariah-compliant products
- Market entry across the Gulf, South Asia, South East Asia and Western markets
What we bring
This practice is founder-led. Our founding partner was Chief Executive Officer of Islamic Bank Australia, which he built from scratch and which held a full Australian banking licence, and he was founding chair of Australia's Islamic finance industry association. Practical delivery experience rather than theory: the difficult part is rarely the structure on paper — it is the accounting, the systems configuration and the supervisory conversation that follow.
